Legendary Weapons
The Celestial Mirror
To open the treasure chests containing players' legendary weapons, you will need the Celestial Mirror. To get the Celestial Mirror, you will first need the Cloudy Mirror. Win the Chocobo Race at Remiem Temple to obtain this. Take the Cloudy Mirror to Macalania Woods South and talk to the mother and her son near the Save Sphere. She is waiting for her husband, so go to Macalania Woods Campsite and talk to the man on the right (her husband). Tell him where his wife and son are, then head back to Macalania Woods South and go up the glowing path. Head North at the intersection then talk to the boy near and use the Cloudy Mirror on the crystal.
Leveling Up Weapons
To Level-Up the legendary weapons, go back to the crystal at Macalania Woods (where you charged-up the Cloudy Mirror to the Celestial Mirror). When you first obtain Caladbolg, for example, it will only have the 'No AP' ability. Use the Sun Crest to add the Double overdrive ability, and the Sun Sigil to completely level it up.+
Tidus: Caladbolg
Race and defeat the Chocobo Trainer in the Calm Lands, then go to the Northwest corner and into a narrow gorge to find the weapon.
Level-Up Items:
Sun Crest - Zanarkand Dome where you fought Yunalesca
Sun Sigil - Race chocobos in the Calm Lands and finish with a perfect time of 0:0.0
Yuna: Nirvana
After collecting all nine fiends in the Calm Lands, the guy at the Monster Arena will give you a chest which holds Yuna's Nirvana.
Level-Up Items:
Moon Crest - Besaid Isle, beach
Moon Sigil - Defeat every aeon (including hidden aeons) at Remiem Temple
Auron: Masamune
Take Auron's Rusty Sword (found at the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth) to the Lord Mi'ihen Statue at Mushroom Rock Road
Level-Up Items:
Mars Crest - Old Road South
Mars Sigil - Capture 10 monsters of 10 different species from 10 different regions
Wakka: World Champion
Talk to the bartender at the Luca Cafe; if he doesn't give it to you, it's because you've been neglecting to play blitzball.
Level-Up Items:
Jupiter Crest - Auroch's Locker Room at Luca Stadium
Jupiter Sigil - After Wakka has Attack, Status, and Aurochs Reels, this will be offered as a prize in blitzball league matches
Kimahri: Spirit Lance
Activate 3 Qactuar stones in the Thunder Plains and follow the Qactuar Ghost south near the Thunder Plains' entrance to find a treasure chest with it.
Level-Up Items:
Saturn Crest - Mt. Gagazet, near the columns after Seymour battle
Saturn Sigil - Capture all blue butterflies in the Macalania Woods Butterfly game
Lulu: Onion Knight
Go to the Baaj Temple (underwater) and enter the north doors. Fight Geosgeno and swim south to find the treasure chest with weapon.
Level-Up Items:
Venus Crest - Farplane
Venus Sigil - avoid 200 bolts of lightning consecutively in the Thunder Plains
Rikku: Godhand
Enter in GODHAND in "Input" on the Airship and it will take you to a secret place with the item.
Level-Up Items:
Mercury Crest - sand whirlpool
Mercury Sigil - Complete the Village of Cactuars game (details in Secrets & Tips Section) to enter the Village and find the treasure chest containing it
