Espers
Equipping Espers
Go to the Main Menu and select Skills. Chose the character you want to equip and select Esper. Espers in white are unequipped, Espers in grey are equipped. Only one Esper can be equipped to a character at a time.
Learning
After battles characters can earn Magic Points that go towards learning a spell from an Esper. The learning rate determines how many times the Magic Points will be multiplied. For example, if one character earns 1 magic point, and the learning rate is 2, then the character gets 2 magic points towards that spell.
Level Bonuses
Sometimes, if you have a character level up while equipped to an Esper, they can gain an extra bonus, (like Vigor +1).
Summoning
You can also summon Espers by selecting Magic, going to the top of the screen, and pressing up. Then select an attack.
