Chocobos
Mene & Boco
Mene is the moogle you meet at Chocobo's Forest (on the Mist Continent near Lindblum and Gizamaluke). He tells you how to call Boco, the chocobo, onto the world map by walking over chocobo footprints and using Gysahl Greens there. He'll give you some Gysahl Greens, so go outside onto the footprints and call Boco. Now you've obtained your chocobo! By talking
to Mene you can trade in points earned from Chocobo Hot & Cold for items or buy some Gysahl Greens. You can also ask him to let you play Chocobo Hot & Cold with Boco to find items and chocographs.
Chocobo Hot & Cold
Ask Mene, the moogle, to let you play Chocobo Hot & Cold. Then, dig up as much as you can in the given amount of time to earn points and find items and chocographs. You can play Chocobo Hot & Cold at Chocobo's Forest, Chocobo's Lagoon, and Chocobo's Sky Garden.
Chocobo Abilities
Dig up and find Chocographs and their treasures to earn new abilities for Boco.
+Color = Ability = Description
+Yellow = Field = Boco can walk on the field.
+Light Blue = Reef = Boco can now walk across shallow waters and reefs by entering and exiting on a beach/shore.
+Red = Mountain = Walk across mountain ranges with Boco.
+Dark Blue = Ocean = Boco can go through deep water and seas by entering and exiting on a beach/shore.
+Gold = Sky = Boco can fly! Just take off by using the circle button in any forest and land in a forest.
Dead Peppers
You'll come across these from digging them up. Feed them to Boco to make him dig harder or even fly higher.
Where To Use Dead Peppers
Use them where there's bubbly water, mountain cracks, and some other special locations included in the list below to recieve special items.

Chocobo's Air Garden
Use your Golden Chocobo (with the Sky ability) and fly him over one of the shadow on the land. This circular shadow can be at any 5 locations on the world, so look around. Use a Dead Pepper and he'll shoot up into the sky. Then, you'll enter the Air Garden. You can dig up some more stuff or fight Ozma. To fight Ozma, go over to the second hill, (farthest away on screen), and search around the little hill there. A moogle will come to you and warn you not to check there. Ignore his warning and keep checking to fight this strong enemy.
